ASA 2024 Investor Conference Terms & Conditions

By registering to attend the ASA 2024 Investor Conference you acknowledge and agree to abide by the following terms & conditions (Terms):

1. Registrations

1.1 Your registration will not be confirmed until we have received your completed registration and full payment of the registration fee. ASA reserves the right, for any reason, to refuse to accept your registration.

1.2 The registration fees for the Conference are correct at the time of publication. ASA 2024 Investor Conference reserves the right to change the fees &/or the early-bird cut-off at any time, but changes will not affect registrations which have already been confirmed.

1.3 Where there are parallel sessions, it is understood that your parallel session selections are a preference but do not guarantee a place in the session. Onsite, if a session reaches capacity you may be asked to attend an alternative session for health and safety reasons.

2. Cancellation and Transfers of Registrations

2.1 Notification of cancellation of your registration for the Conference must be made in writing and emailed to CIS Event Management to the attention of Dee Nicholas.

2.2 Cancellation requests received by ASA (share@asa.asn.authirty one (31) days or more before the date of the Conference will be refunded 30% of the ticket purchased. No refunds will be made for cancellations received by ASA within thirty (30)  days of the event.

2.3 You may request to transfer your registration to another person by notifying CIS Event Management at least five (5) business days prior to the Conference. No transfers will be permitted within five (5) business days of the event. 

3. Modification, Postponement or Cancellation of the Conference

3.1 ASA 2024 Investor Conference reserves the right at any time to change the speakers, the content, the location, the timing or the format, or any other aspect of the Conference; or to postpone the Conference; or to cancel the Conference.

3.2 ASA 2024 Investor Conference and the Conference organisers, the Venue or any other third party authorised or engaged by ASA (Agents) will not be liable to you for any damages, costs, losses or expenses of any kind incurred or suffered by you as a result of, or in relation to, 3.1 above.

3.3 If the Conference is cancelled or postponed by ASA for reasons that are beyond its reasonable control, ASA may retain the fee and will not be required to make any refund of the fee.

3.4 If the Conference is cancelled for reasons other than as set out in 3.3 above, ASA will refund the fee.  

4. Your rights and obligations at the Conference

4.1 ASA reserves the right to prohibit your entry to the Conference, or eject you from the Conference if you fail to comply with these Terms, or if you represent a security risk or if your behaviour is deemed inappropriate, as determined by ASA and/or its agents and others working under its authority.

4.2 Promotional materials may not be distributed at the Conference except by event sponsors and exhibitors.

4.3 You agree to comply with all reasonable instructions issued by ASA and its Agents.

4.4 All unauthorised photography and the recording or transmitting of audio or visual material, data or information is expressly prohibited.

4.5 By attending the Conference you grant permission to ASA and its Agents to take and to have full and free use of video/photographs containing your image/likeness, including the use of these images for live streaming, promotional, news, on-line and multimedia purposes. You agree that you are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from ASA or its Agents in respect of your image/likeness or its use. You release, discharge, and hold harmless, ASA and its Agents from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that they may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video. 

5. Accommodation

All rooms booked and confirmed for the Rydges Melbourne, must be received on or before CUT OFF DATE-18th April 2024. After that date, any attendee who has not booked, their request will be on a request basis at the best available rate, subject to availability. All reservations must be paid with a major credit card to CIS Event Management.

Individual reservations are subject to 30 day cancellation. Individuals may cancel up to 30 days prior to arrival without penalty. If cancellation occurs within 30 days of arrival, full cancellation fees will apply.

6. General

6.1 ASA  reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time and you will be subject to the Terms in force at the time ASA 2024 Investor Conference registers you for the Conference.

6.2 The failure, delay, relaxation or indulgence on the part of a party in exercising, in part or whole, any power, right or remedy conferred upon that party by these Terms shall not operate as a waiver of that power, right or remedy.

6.3 These Terms are governed by and are to be construed in accordance with the laws in force in New South Wales. Each party irrevocably and unconditionally submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and waives any objection that it may have that proceedings have been brought in an inconvenient forum. 

Disclaimer

ASA has endeavoured to ensure that the information on any Conference website or in any printed Conference brochure is correct at the time of publishing. ASA or other parties mentioned in the Conference promotional material accept no responsibility or liability as a result of error, misprints or changes to the information provide. 

Privacy & Data Consent

At ASA we recognise the importance of your privacy and understand your concerns about the security of personal information you provide to us. We place high priority on the security of information held by us and we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles as contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The information provided by you is necessary to administer and manage your registration and provide the Conference to you. 

Why we ask for your consent We are committed to protecting the privacy of all personal data you provide us for this event registration. The following statements describe what we are doing with your data, how long we store it so you are fully informed prior to you submitting your personal information for event registration.

What we are doing with your data We ask for your personal data to facilitate your registration for this event. 

Who will see your personal data Your data will be shared with the other companies and third parties in order to process your registration. These will include: Microsoft 365, Stripe Credit Card payment gateway, Conference hotel, Name tag provider and Sponsors

How long will we store your personal data? We will store your data for up to 12 months following the end of the event
