Antony grew up in North Devon in the 1970s and has been moving steadily northwards ever since. He worked for the Nursing and Midwifery Council in London from the mid 1980s until joining North Tyneside Council in 1991 as a community care planner. ...

He joined the Audit Commission in the mid-1990s where he spent six years managing health and local government audits across the North of England. After a short period back in local government, working on political modernisation (elected mayors and cabinet constitutions), he joined Audit Scotland in 2003.

Antony is responsible for overseeing the strategic programme of performance audits that Audit Scotland delivers on behalf of the Auditor General for Scotland and the Accounts Commission. He has a particular interest in performance auditing quality standards and ensuring that audits have impact and add value.

His other key area of corporate responsibility is managing Audit Scotland’s programme of international liaison work - sharing professional, technical and audit-related expertise with overseas audit institutions and public sector bodies and using good practice from overseas to improve the quality of Audit Scotland’s work.

He also oversees parliamentary engagement and is Audit Scotland’s key contact with the Scottish Parliament’s Public Audit and Post-legislative Scrutiny Committee (PAPLS).

Her work in the health and mining sectors contributed to improving access to ongoing medical assistance for retired miners. This particular audit included engaging the Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, including medical doctors, to assist the team with reviewing medical reports. She is passionate about the value and opportunity that audit brings to the public and parliament.

In particular, the opportunity to strengthen outcome statements and performance indicators in public sector entities to assist users to know what has been achieved with the money government departments have been allocated. Previously, Louise spent four years at the Australian National Audit Office. Paul O’Connor is a Senior Manager in the Performance Audit division of the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office (VAGO). Paul’s responsibilities include the planning and conduct of strategic reviews of major projects in the public sector Transport and Infrastructure space as well as transformational Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects and initiatives. ...

Paul has been a guest and adjunct lecturer for Masters-level project management subjects in the School of Property, Construction and Project Management at RMIT University, and has also previously taught at Latrobe University in project management subjects. Paul has a Master of Public Infrastructure degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in PPPs from the University of Melbourne. His undergraduate course was a BA (Asian Studies) which he enjoyed immensely, particularly the challenges that came with learning Vietnamese, and travelling as a backpacker through the region.

David Adams is the Director-Audit Practice at the Queensland Audit Office and has been in this role since 2018. This has been an ever changing and challenging environment. Recent achievements have included a successful re-invigoration of a full quality assurance program across all audit assurance services including teams resourced by both in house teams and contracted audit service provider firms. David is also managing a refresh of QAO’s performance audit methodology and the introduction of new products, principles and practices.

Prior to this role, David was a sector Director in Infrastructure. Major agencies in this portfolio are Queensland Rail, Department of Housing and Public Works, Department of Transport and Main Roads and the government owned Ports corporations. David was able to partner with these agencies to better refine their asset accounting and valuation practices and in so doing, they are now better informed about their own asset management planning.

Mr. Reed spent many years leading audits of environmental programs and sustainable development strategies for the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development.

Mr. Reed also led the OAG's international environmental auditing-related work, including heading the Secretariat of the Working Group on Environmental Auditing of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions. Prior to joining the OAG, Mr. Reed spent more than a decade in environmental positions in the petroleum industry, with wide ranging responsibilities related to regulatory and public policy development, strategic environmental planning, risk communication, issues management, and environmental auditing. He was a co-founder of the Canadian Environmental Auditing Association and served as its President and Past-President.

Mr. Reed also spent three years with Environment Canada as the lead staff negotiator for the United Nations' Montreal Protocol on Ozone Depleting Substances. John Reed holds an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies (1982) from the University of Waterloo and a Masters of Environmental Studies from York University (1984).
