Jane Meade is a Group Executive Director in the Professional Services and Relationships Group (PSRG) at the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO)....

Jane joined the ANAO in February 2016. Jane has responsibility for assisting the Auditor-General in the application of professional standards, the quality assurance framework and external relationship management.

Prior to her appointment with the ANAO, Jane was the National Technical Partner at RSM Australia and has held roles with Tower Australia Limited and Deloitte, where she was a Client Director in the Professional Standards Review and National Assurance and Advisory Services groups.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and Executive Fellow of ANSZOG. Jane is a member of the Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIPP) and was formerly a member of the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB).

Carla is the Group Executive Director of the Performance Audit Services Group in the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO)....

As part of this role, she oversees the delivery of performance audits of Australian Government entities by a group of over 120 staff and contracted firms. Prior to this, she was the Group Executive Director of the ANAO’s Assurance Audit Services Group where she oversaw the financial statements audits of all Australian Government entities and the Whole of Government’s consolidated financial statements. Carla has over 25 years’ professional experience in public sector auditing.

Carla is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a member of the CA ANZ National Council and the CA ANZ ACT Regional Council.

John Ryan began his term as Controller and Auditor-General on 2 July 2018.John graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration. He studied strategic leadership at Oxford University and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants....

He has held senior executive positions in a range of public sector organisations and in the private sector. His experience spans corporate, regulatory and operational management, and assurance.

During his career of more than 40 years, John has led some of the largest programmes of capital works in the public sector, large-scale change management, and significant regulatory reform.

John has also contributed widely to his community. Before his appointment, he was a board member of the Royal New Zealand Ballet, the New Zealand Festival, and the Wellington Jazz Festival.

He is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT University, UTS & UNSW Canberra, an Executive Board Member of the Global AI Ethics Institute, and a Senior Member and Certified Professional of the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Ian Goodwin commenced as Deputy Auditor-General of the Audit Office of New South Wales in January 2017....

Ian's early career was in banking and capital markets, working at the Reserve Bank of Australia, a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm and two stints in advisory roles with the International Monetary Fund based in Washington DC.

Returning to Australia, Ian joined the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) and as a Group Executive Director was responsible for leading the ANAO’s Assurance Audit Services Group and the audit of the Australian Government's Consolidated Financial Statements.

Ian is a Chartered Accountant Fellow and was an ACT Regional Councillor for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Ian is also a commissioned officer in the Australian Army who has deployed on domestic and overseas Australian Defence Force operations and dedicates time to his role as a Squadron Commander in the Australian Army Reserve.

Li Cunxin’s journey is simply remarkable. He was born into utter poverty in Mao’s Communist China, at a very young age he was selected to train at Madame Mao’s Beijing Dance Academy. So began Li’s journey....

Karen Hogan was appointed Auditor General of Canada in June 2020.

Ms. Hogan first joined the Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) in 2006 and served as Assistant Auditor General from January 2019 until her appointment as Auditor General....

She has over 25 years of professional experience in accounting and auditing.

During her time at the OAG, Ms. Hogan has helped shape organizational change and strategic direction. Her work has included leading the audit of the consolidated financial statements of the Government of Canada and contributing to the delivery of a new report to help parliamentarians and Canadians understand complex financial matters and the importance of financial audits in Canada.

Ms. Hogan has supported standard setting in Canada as a past member of the Public Sector Accounting Discussion Group. She was appointed as a member of the Public Sector Accounting Board in April 2022.

Ms. Hogan began her career in the private sector, working first as an auditor at a Montréal-based accounting firm and then as a manager at another private firm in Thunder Bay and Ottawa.

Ms. Hogan holds a bachelor’s degree and graduate diploma in accounting from Concordia University in Montréal. Fully bilingual, she is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. Ms. Hogan received the distinction of Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2021.

Outside of work, in addition to spending time with her husband and 2 children, Ms. Hogan is also actively involved in her community, served on the board of directors of a not-for-profit organization, and supports competitive swimming as a certified swim official.
