Steven had a lengthy and successful career in the Footwear Industry, in both Australia and the U.S.   A successful entrepreneur, in 2007 he helped develop and launch the Vionic footwear brand with his business partners in the U.S. and despite beginning in the depths of the GFC, Vionic went on to become a top 20 brand and was subsequently sold to a large U.S. listed company in 2018. He took this opportunity to return to Queensland with his young family, retiring from a corporate role to become a full time, committed investor.  

He soon joined the Australian Shareholders Association (ASA) as a member and a couple of years later was appointed to the Board and then was elected Chair.  He brings a range of required skills to the Board including strategic planning and better ways to develop culture and staff retention. He is a strong advocate for the benefits ASA can provide to potential members on their life and wealth journeys.  He's also passionate about progressing the quality of education and advocacy support ASA will provide members going forward and is an active Company Monitor, engaging directly with Australia's largest ASX listed companies.  

He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has also completed further educational courses at AICD including The Role of the Chair and Governance for Not-for-Profit Directors.
